Why fiber length matters
Pima's extra-long staple fibers have fewer exposed ends on the fabric surface. Practically, that means a smoother hand-feel, less pilling after washes, and color that holds. Short-staple cotton is more prone to all of the opposite — which is why $8 multipacks feel great for a week and rough by month two.
